How to request deletion
You can request deletion of your data in two ways:
- In the app: go to app.thechats.me, open your Profile and, under the Privacy & data section, follow the deletion option.
- By email: send a request to privacy@thechats.me from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Data deletion".
What gets deleted
- Account and profile data.
- Conversation content and contacts processed on the platform.
- Identifiers and tokens obtained through Facebook Login and the Meta integrations (WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger).
Some records may be retained where required by legal obligations (e.g. billing) and are deleted at the end of the applicable period.
Timeframe
We acknowledge the request and complete deletion within a maximum of 30 days, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
Data obtained via Facebook
If you connected your account through Facebook Login, you can also remove the app in your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites. To ensure deletion of data on our side, please use one of the methods above.
